Revlon Lip Butters in Juicy Papaya and Pink Lemonade REVIEW and swatches

I finally found the "new" Revlon Lip Butters at my local Target today. I have been hunting them down for months every since I saw bloggers post about them. I purchased two of the four shades that are new for 2013. The two I purchased was Juicy Papaya and Pink Lemonade. I purchased them based on the color I saw in the tube.

L'Oreal Spring 2013 Versailles Romance collection: Pistachio dream, Macaroon me Madly Creme Puffs Royally yours, the palace life REVIEW and swatches

UPDATE March 16th 2013: I purchased the Lacey Lilac nail polish as well as Laze in the Maze and Legally Regal Color Riche balm. See below for details!

I finally spotted L'Oreal's spring 2013 nail polish collection at Walgreens earlier this week and I grabbed 5 out of the 6 shades they had. The display at my local Walgreens wasn't big, in fact there were only two or three of each shade available on the stand. I love pastels and I love the names of these polishes. I hardly ever purchase so many shades from one collection, but this one just stole my heart. Unfortunately, this display does not contain their lip balm products. I will have to keep looking for those!

I purchased all the shades except the purple Lacey Lilac. At first look, I felt like I had something very similar to that already. However, seeing how much I loved the other shades that I did purchase I might reconsider Lacey Lilac.

0.39 fl oz, $5.99

Ahh the pastel rainbow of polishes!

Maybelline Spring 2013 Color Goes Electric: Coral Burst blush and Striking Peach lipgloss REVIEW and swatches

I love this time of the year when companies come out with collections that correspond to a fashion show. The ideas are always so fresh and new and I love seeing all the possibilities in make up. A few days ago, I saw Maybelline's Color Goes Electric Spring 2013 collection and picked up a few things immediately. I knew they wouldn't be there for long so I had to grab it when I get the chance. I grabbed two nail polishes (Ruby Rhinestones and Cocktail Dress reviewed here) and a blush and lipgloss. I will review the Coral Burst blush and Striking Peach Color Sensational lipgloss here.

Maybelline Spring 2013 Color Goes Electric Collection: Cocktail Dress, Ruby Rhinestones nail polishes REVIEW and swatches

So I saw a limited edition display at my local Walgreens the other day and I immediately recognized it as one of Maybellines' special collections. Maybelline, and other brands, have seasonal collections inspired by fashion shows, holidays, and other special events. I saw that there wasn't much on these displays so I grabbed a bit of everything. In total, I left with two nail polishes (which I will review below), a blush, and a lipgloss (which is reviewed here). Seeing how quickly these sold out previous years, if you see something you like go to your local drugstore immediately and pick them up! Without further delay, here are the two polishes I purchased: Ruby Rhinestones and Cocktail Dress.

Ruby Rhinetones (left), Cocktail Dress (right)
0.23 fl oz, $4.99

Ruby Rhinetones is a dark red with a blue tone. It also has red hexagon glitter and small red and black glitter.
Cocktail Dress is a black polish consisting of small black glitter and larger red glitters.
Both have very sequin-y textures to them.

These polishes are very sheer with the first coat (finger on the right = one coat).
However, as you build up the color, they become quite opaque (fingers on the left = 2 coats).

Prestige Cosmetics Total Intensity line Emerald eyeliner and Addiction eyeshadow REVIEW and swatches

I was browsing through Rite Aid recently and found a new stand for Prestige Cosmetics. This was one of those promotional stands where they only  have a few of each of the promoted items. I cannot say whether these were limited edition, but they definitely weren't in the regular Prestige shelves. These were in the Total Intensity line and all the packaging were sleek. It was mainly black packaging and the items were intriguing. I picked up two items: an emerald eyeliner and a purple duo chrome eyeshadow. There were also mascaras and eyeliners that I did not pick up.

Both were $5.99 at Rite Aid

The eyeshadow had a sturdy packaging with black plastic on the top and bottom. Clear plastic surrounded it on the very top and the sides. The plastic circle cutout allows you to see the color inside the package. It is a snap closure so it was easy to open and close, but not easy enough for it to pop open on its own.
