Sinful Colors extreme shine gel nail polish in Blue Suede Shoes REVIEW and swatches

I was very happy to stumble across the new Sinful Colors display at Walgreens the other day. These new polishes contain a high shine to them and look like gel nail polishes. They are exclusive to Walgreens and are about $1 more expensive than the regular polishes from the Sinful Colors line.

I only purchased one shade to test the "shininess" of the polish. The colors present are too exciting so I didn't pick up a lot of them right away. If they last long like gel and shine very nicely, I will probably get more.

Blue Cross Mardi Gras nail polishes spotted at Rite Aid REVIEW and swatches and comparison to Deborah Lippman polishes

As part of my recent nail polish spree at Rite Aid, I purchased some of Blue Cross' Mardi Gras line of polishes. These were available at Rite Aid. I have not seen it sold elsewhere so I'm not sure if it is restricted only to Rite Aid. Anyway, this particular display had a glitter theme. All colors had glitters of some sort in there. Some were more cream like while others definitely had gel like consistency and look. What really caught my eye were two polishes, though I ended up getting three. There were a lot more, but I had to control myself somehow. See below for swatches and comparisons!

Blue Cross Mardi Gras polishes, $3.99, Rite Aid
Annoyingly, none of these have names or numbers to them. It isn't the first time I saw polishes without identification, but it just makes it more difficult to compare and refer to. I will give them my own names here on the blog just for simplicity sake.
Blue Waters: shimmery blue jelly (closely resembles Wet n Wild Fergie's Mermaid Curves polish)
Sparkling Frosting: a sheer light blue with pink and blue glitters (closely resembles Revlon Whimsical and Deborah Lippmann's Glitter In the Air)
Cotton Candy: magenta pink jelly with colorful glitters and shimmers (resembles Deborah Lippmann's Candy Shop)

These three polishes are pretty sheer and goes well over other more opaque nail polishes. I will swatch a few of these to show you the results below. The brush is very standard and is on the thinner side compared to WnW or L'oreal polishes. The dry time is fairly fast so even having to do several coats wouldn't hurt. In fact, because these are so sheer and are good for the jelly look, multiple layers would help create that feel. The more polish you have on top of glitters, you can really see the layers.

Maybelline Summer 2013 polishes: Sandstorm, Mint Mist, Poolside, Bare Escape REVIEW and swatches and comparisons

The other day at Rite Aid, I notice a new Maybelline display. It contained the limited edition nail polishes that I have been seeing on random blogs online. I quickly grabbed 4 of my favorites because Rite Aid had the BOGO 50% off this week. The colors I picked up are naturally pastel or muted colors. Note that the other colors in this display are more bold and bright, but they just weren't my cup of tea. See below for the four that I purchased. These are limited editions so if some of these catches your eye, don't hesitate or they will be sold out!

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss stick in Nudist REVIEW and swatches

I am in love with Soap and Glory's Hand Food hand cream. It smells so nice (reminds me of Lush) and feels so moisturizing despite not having that heavy greasy feeling. So when I came across a gloss stick at Sephora the other day, I decided to pick it up. Being the non-adventurist that I am, I chose the Nudist color. Keep reading for my review and swatches.

Buxom Fully Loaded Lips duo REVIEW and swatches

I haven't been beauty shopping lately so I didn't have too much to review or swatch for you guys. I guess I should be happy because I was actually able to save some money. Most recently at Sephora, I did manage to pick up a couple small items. One of those was the Buxom Fully Loaded Lips, which contains a miniature size of Full bodied lipsticks in Two-Timer and Lip polish in Sandy. See below for swatches and my take on the items!

The sizes of these are quite small. I put a EOS lip balm next to them for size comparison.

Sally Hansen Coral Reef, Pink Satin, Mint Sorbet random Swatch and REVIEW

There was a sale at Walgreens for Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear nail polishes. I have been meaning to try Coral Reef, but since it was buy 2 get 1 free, I also threw in Mint Sorbet and Pink Satin.

YSL Babydoll Mascara REVIEW

Sephora sent me an email the other day about a new product from YSL. YSL recently released a new mascara called Babydoll. This mascara is supposed to volumize, separate and hold your curls! That all sounds very awesome. One of the main problems I have with volumizing mascaras is that they clump like crazy. This one not only separates your lashes, but is supposed to also not smudge or flake for 24 hours. That's way longer than I need my mascara to last. Anyway, I bought it because I was very intrigued by the features of this mascara. See below for my review and my lashes :)
All products shown here have been paid with my own money and have been given my honest review.
