Topshop Cream Blush in Afternoon Tea REVIEW and swatches

I recently re-discovered this cream to powder blush by Topshop in my blush stash and immediately fell in love with it again. With the summer heat coming through, I noticed that my cheeks needed more soothing products. A cream blush can really help you from looking too dried. As much as I love powder blushes, sometimes they can get a little...well powdery. Don't get me wrong, I don't like sticky creamy makeup on my cheeks at all -so I found just the thing! This Topshop blush is not only cream texture, but it dries to a light powdery finish. It is perfect!

SANA Super Quick Melty Gel Liner Ex in Black Chocolate REVIEW and swatches

The last of the three goodies given to me by a subscriber is this SANA super quick melty gel liner. This was the one out of the three that I had asked her to bring for me. It is a gel liner that twists up to a fine pencil tip. To see the other two goody reviews I did, visit here for Revlon's Moisture Stain lipgloss and here for L'Oreal Color Riche Moisture Matte lipstick.

This item is from Hong Kong, but you can also find it at Sasa's website online.

SANA Super Quick Melty Gel Liner Ex in Black Chocolate

The gel liner is so light in my hands.
It has a twist up applicator that does not go back in reverse. So don't twist too much up on the first try. The tip of this is very thin, which makes it unnecessary to sharpen.

L'Oreal Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Spring Rosette REVIEW and swatches

Another installment of one of the goodies that my subscriber gifted to me is the L'Oreal Color Riche Moist Matte (aka Moisture Matte) lipstick in Spring Rosette. I have not seen this in drugstores yet here in the States, but it might soon well make its way across the ocean. This came from Asia, which makes me feel like a lot of you might already have seen it in drugstores if you live in that part of the world. If not, take a peek..you might find this intriguing as I did and want to buy it on ebay :)

Okay, back to the review!

L'Oreal Moisture Matte lipstick in Spring Rosette. Without the clear plastic wrap on right.
Without the plastic wrap, the product is quite sleek and futuristic looking.

Per L'Oreal's website:
A lipstick that delivers intense moisture while providing a velvet matte finish. Colour Riche Moisture Matte's unique formula contains jojoba oil for unrivaled moisture and comfort along with matte gel technology to create an intense matte look.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Milan Moment REVIEW and swatches

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet one of my subscribers for lunch! What's even more of a surprise was that she had goodies for me! It is not just any goodies, but ones she got from Hong Kong. I have not seen these products here in the States yet so I am reviewing them ASAP. That way you guys can get your hands on them once they land. Big thanks and shout out to Vanessa for making this review possible.

The Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain has been popping up at Meijer stores, but not at drugstores yet as of this post. It will probably soon hit CVS/Walgreens as this is usually the trend with beauty products that show up at Meijer. The Moisture Stain is cased in a lipgloss tube and is advertised to have a lot of ..well...moisture and color.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Milan Moment

This does not have plastic seals, but does have a sticker that somewhat prevents people from opening them. If opened, you can at least see indication of it.

Moisture Stain has a flatten doe foot applicator. This allows more coverage of your lips in one swipe.

MAC Proenza Schouler Ocean City ombre blush REVIEW and swatches

After seeing the MAC Proenza Schouler products cover story for months and then waiting through the weeks of delay, I finally was able to order the Ocean City ombre blush online. It came a couple days ago and I played with it immediately. I believe the blush is still available on Macy's and Nordstrom's website as of this morning, but I don't know how much longer it will be available for. It is limited edition, so if you find this at all interesting go swatch/buy it in stores immediately.

MAC Proenza Schouler Ocean City blush, $30
The packaging is very sleek. It is a tricolor (green, yellow, purple) metal-like plastic with a metallic gloss.
This is kind of fingerprint prone, unfortunately.

It opens up to a ombre blush and a mirror.

Jewelmint Golden Eagle and Pink Pave ring set REVIEW

I don't normally review jewelry on this blog, but the other day I purchased some rings from Jewelmint and I am very pleased with them! I have purchased one necklace from them maybe 2 years ago, but I haven't since ventured over to the website. For those of you who don't know about Jewelmint, it is a company that offers original jewelry that are unique in style and high in quality. They do not charge a membership fee, but as soon as you make your first purchase you will have to either buy or skip out on a monthly basis. If you do not, you get charged $29.99 and get 1 credit toward jewelry in the future. You can contact them to cancel at any time. To be honest, I have stayed away from it because I did not want to forget and end up with a million credits. However, I found myself purchasing multiple items ever since starting the membership. For $29.99, you get some really good quality items and they always have some sort of sale. During their last sale, I purchased the two rings below.

Jewelmint rings
They came in these black sleek boxes.

I can't believe how shiny they look out of the box! What amazing metals.

I love how cool the Golden Eagle ring looks. It has a band with light pink crystals and a golden fan that looks like the feathers of an eagle attached to the band.
The Pink Pave ring set is so versatile. You can wear it together or separate. The metal is rose gold and the crystals are either pinkish or magenta. The last one is just bumps in the rose gold metal and does not have crystals.

A look at the thickness.
The Pink Pave rings are much thicker in diameter than the Golden Eagle or any other ring I own.
The only problem with that is when I put my fingers together, they kind of cause discomfort. I am getting used to it, but I really wish they were more like the Golden Eagle width.

Overall, I really like the two ring purchases. They were both less than $29.99 with the sale and definitely worth the money. I feel the Pink Pave rings are a bit too thick so that when my hand is closed they rub into surrounding fingers. For that same reason, you also can't wear them on fingers right next to each other. Other than that, I am loving the style and look of these!
In case you are interested in just making a profile on Jewelmint to browse their products (free and no need to cancel every month), click here for more information.

Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Volum' Express mascara comparison with Falsies, Rocket, and Mega Plush REVIEW and swatches

First off, today is my 2nd year blog anniversary! I can't believe it has been 2 years since the first time I made this blog. I wanted to thank everyone for their support and comments. I really enjoy connecting with the beauty community online. More blogs and goodies to come!

I spotted this Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal mascara at my local CVS about 2.5 weeks back and picked it up immediately because of its fun colors and cool looking brush. The mascara is a many blobs wand with a bulbous brush that tapers at the end. It is really a fun new mascara for my purse this summer.

Side note: I have had troubles with my camera, which normally would not stand in the way of most of the product pictures I take. However, with this close up of my lashes demonstration, I really had to perfect the photo. Anyway, without further interruptions, look below for a comparison of other popular Maybelline mascaras next to the Pumped Up Colossal!

Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Volum'Express mascara, $6.99

You might recognize a few of these Maybelline mascaras. Here is just a size comparison of the tube.
It appears that the Pumped Up Colossal is much larger than the other ones, even the Rocket which is similar in shape.

Comparison of the wands.
The Falsies Flared is one of my favorite. The spoon shaped brush and short handle makes my lashes curl and voluminous.
The Pumped Up wand is closest in length with the Rocket.

Comparison of the brushes.
The Mega Plush and Pumped Up brush looks the most similar. They are bulbous and tapers at the end.
Rocket is similar in shape, but more slender. The material of the Rocket bristles is more rubbery where as all of the others are more fibrous.
The bulbous fibers of the Pumped Up brush allows for deep coating and volume. The Falsies on the other hand creates the curves.

Note: I have short Asian lashes that are extremely straight and points downwards. I need a mascara that really holds curls and have length and volume to do well for me. Waterproof mascaras usually help with the hold of the curl, but a lot of other things factor into this too.

Texture/application: The application was easy. The mascara was on the drier side so it immediately held my lashes up to the curl. It also dried very quickly so it did not transfer to my lower eye area or upper eyelid. The application did not tug nor did it poke my eyes.
Scent: I detected no scent.
Staying power: This lasted on me all day with no smudging or flaking. It did not budge untill I removed it at the end of the night, which must have been at least 10 hours of wear.
Overall: I really like this mascara. The texture holds up my curls, gives my lashes volume, and stays for the whole day. It isn't the best mascara for me in terms of length, but it still helped me a little. What's better yet is that the packaging color is so bright and fun!

What are your thoughts on this? Have you tried this mascara?
