This outfit was from Friday. I wanted to dress extra cozy and still be presentable so I chose this big slouchy cardigan to go with my skinny jeans and tee. Since the cardigan sweater was bulky, I also threw on a belt to give me some shape. The lace headband was just a nice way to "dress up" the outfit a little more so it didn't look like I just woke up. Hope you enjoy it!

I have been keeping such a close eye for these Maybelline Color Tattoos ever since I heard about it. I know that since they are limited edition and each display only carries 2 of each shade, I literally have to be the first person there to get first dibs. I wanted all three of the shades because I don't really like shimmery or sheen eyeshadows. These are all MATTE! I don't believe Maybelline usually comes out with all matte shades for their color tattoos. Moving on to the shades...shall we?
There are three shades in this display, Nude Pink, Just Beige, and Matte Brown. I was the first one to the CVS store to browse this display (or so I assumed since all the products were there) so I picked up one of each of the shades!
Last week, I found the small tub of Vaseline Lip Therapy in Rosy Lips at Target! I was very excited as it is starting to pop up everywhere. Most places carries the regular Vaseline lip therapy and the Cocoa scented one. I love rose scented things and this one is supposed to have a hint of pink. I own the Vaseline Rosy Lips from the UK for a long time now (about 5 years ago?) and I love the texture and consistency. It isn't too sticky, but enough to keep my lips moisturized. The problem is that it isn't readily available here, so if the small tubs prove to be equal or better then I am set!
I did a quick comparison in case you have been trying to hunt for the UK version.

I did not purchase a whole lot from the Sephora VIB sale 2013 but did manage to pick up some essentials and fun items. Two of these fun items are the Dior polishes in Destin and Galaxie. I fell in love with Destin- the smokey taupe shade. I am not a huge fan of reds, but Galaxie shown so bright and in such a berry shade that I made an exception. I am super glad I did because these two polishes are amazing! If you get your hands on these, definitely give it a try. Dior's polishes are always extremely well made- formula, durability, and shade selection and these are by no means an exception.
Walking around Walgreens a couple days ago, I spotted a new Revlon display amongst all the holiday goodies. The Revlon display included the new shadowlinks...untouched! I was so excited that I picked up 4 different shades to play with and share with you. To my knowledge and to the display, I did not see that these were limited edition so there is no big rush to grab these immediately. However, they are fun stocking stuffers if you have a makeup junkie in your life. Let's move on, shall we?
Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks, $2.99
Each eyeshadow is split into groups: neutral, pinks/plums, blues
I also later noticed that it contains pearl and metallic finishes...there might be more finishes but those are the only variations in the four I picked up.
The reason why they are called shadowlinks is because they can link together. This is great if you don't want to be constricted by a palette but still want the shadows together in one place. You can swap them out whenever you want without spending tons of money on a palette holder.
Though it has become colder here in California, the sun is rather still bright. I took advantage of the nice day out to get a photo of my outfit with the fall colors outside. Hope you enjoy!

I almost passed these by when I was at my local CVS a few days ago because the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer balm looked so much like the balm stains. Had they not been in a special display, I wouldn't even have notcied. The lacquer balms are much more shiny whereas the matte balms are much more matte in packaging than the regular balm stains. If you are looking for it, make sure you grab the right products. I have one of the lacquer balm products today to share with you. I believe it is the lightest of the pink shades.
Today I have a quick outfit to show you. I am really liking this outfit because I finally am able to wear my boots. California weather hasn't been too cold lately so I have been holding back on bringing out all of my boots. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
