Almay Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipstick in Pink light REVIEW and swatches

I came across this temporary display of Almay lip products and it really made me do a double take. I have hardly seen Almay with new products and Revlon-looking lip products at that. They look very reminiscent of the Revlon lip butters. Though this is a few years behind, I think Almay's version isn't so bad and has something to offer. Keep reading for review and swatches!

The display that the lipstick sat in was separated into light, light medium, and medium shades. Each of those categories had a pink, red, nude, and berry shade. I am more light medium, but liked the Pink from the light category better.

Vaseline Creme Brulee lip therapy balm!

You know it is the holidays when you see decorations being put up, Christmas music being played, and people shopping like crazy at the malls. Another thing that hints to the holidays is special holiday edition lip balms. I am talking about the Vaseline Lip Therapy. You might have read my previous post on the Rosy Lips version. I am in love with this stuff. Recently, at Walmart and subsequently Walgreens and other drugstores, I found this on the shelves. It retails for about $2.

It is as moisturizing as the other US version of lip therapy and has the most wonderful scent! It smells sweet, a bit of caramel, and well dessert-y. It is good enough to eat. I don't see limited edition on here, but I feel like it is one that will only come around during the holidays.

I almost didn't want to write a post about this because there are not any photos for swatches. It just looks clear on my hand. However, in case you are looking for stocking stuffers, wanting to try this scent, or just trying to nurse your lips from the cold, I wanted to bring your attention to this!

Will you be picking one up this winter?

All products shown here were purchased with my own money and were given my fair and honest opinion.

it Cosmetics The IT factor Duo in Je ne sai quo REVIEW and swatches

It has been a while since my last review. Truth is I haven't indulged in a lot of makeup items. With the holidays coming around the corner, I have been trying to move my funds into presents for my family and friends. I did happen to get a few things for myself, which you will see me review in the next couple of weeks.
Today I am sharing the IT factor duo lip stain set with you. It is an Ulta exclusive and it retails for $24. I really like this set because I feel like it is very easy to use. The set comes with a lip balm like stick that looks clear in the tube, but slowly changes color on your lips. It is very moisturizing for a stain and smells like cherries. The lipgloss is also a stain and it turns from a milky light pink in the tube to a bright magenta shade on my lips.

The lipgloss has a doe-foot like applicator and applies very easily.
The lipbalm/lipstick has packaging that remind me of MAC viva glam lipsticks!
