Too Faced Melted Liquefied Lipstick in Chihuahua REVIEW and swatches

I purchased a kit with a ton of lip products lately and the Too Faced Melted liquefied lipstick was included. Normally, I shy away from liquid lipsticks because I don't like the feel of them. They are generally more sticky and feels like a layer of product on your lips. This one, however, was easy to apply and wear.

Too Faced Melted liquefied lipstick in Chihuahua, sephora, $21
Chihuahua is a mauvey nude shade that leans a little brown. On my lips, it looks like my-lips-but-better. It isn't really matte, but doesn't look shiny or glittery. I think it just looks very natural.

It comes with a very fluffy sponge applicator and was easy to apply. You just squeeze the tube and product comes out shortly.

Application/texture: The product was light and airy on the lips and was easy to blend. It didn't feel heavy or tacky.
Scent: I didn't notice any strong scent that lingered.
Staying power: this lasted 4-5 hours if I didn't eat or drink.
Overall: I was pleasantly surprised by this liquid lipstick. It had a fairly decent staying power and came in a very natural shade. It also felt very light and was easy to wear. The applicator makes it easy to apply just the right amount of product.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Quartz REVIEW and swatches

Becca is very well known for their awesome skin brightening powders and blushes. I had used their blush once a long time ago and found it too shimmery for my taste. However, lately I have found my skin to be a little more dull and wanted to experiment with a highlighting powder again. This time, instead of going with a blush with shimmery effects, I decided to go for a highlighter with a hint of color. The purpose of this product is not to give a rose cheek look, rather I wanted it to add some light to my face. See below for my review of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Quartz.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Quartz, Sephora, $38

Rose Quartz is a beautiful pink champagne shade. I desperately wanted it to not be limited edition! Unfortunately, it is listed as LE on Sephora's website. If you are very interested in trying it, I would jump on this now before they sell out!

The highlight is amazing. It doesn't leave you with a disco ball look. It highlights in the most natural way. It doesn't add glitter or shimmer...it just lifts. I can't describe how it does it. I love that this has a hint of pink so it is almost like wearing a subtle blush as well.

The container is a sturdy compact with a mirror on one side. It looks like a space saucer, haha. It actually comes in a rose gold metallic bottom and a silver top. I think their regular skin perfectors come with the silver top but a brown bottom.

Application/texture: So buttery soft! With my fingers, I easily picked up product and it easily blended into my skin.
Scent: none
Staying power: This lasted about 7-8 hours on my face.
Overall: I would highly recommend this Shimmering Skin Perfector. I haven't tried their regular shades, but their Rose Quartz is so beautiful. The highlight is perfect indeed and adds just a hint of pink so that I can skip my blush if I want a subtle look. I am able to use this on my brow bone, down my nose, and cupid's bow as well. So versatile! I'm in love! For $38, this can last you a long time and be used for so many things.

Lancome Juicy Shaker lipgloss in Boom Meringue REVIEW and swatches

Lancome has come out with a lipgloss that you have to 'shake' to activate the ingredients. What an intriguing thought! While I think lipgloss is lipgloss, I do get suckered in every once in a while for interested packaging and application. The packaging/way of applicating is certainly interesting for the Juicy Shaker lipglosses and the product is actually quite nice. A lot of the times the packaging is all that there is going for a product, but in this case the lipgloss is actually moisturizing as well.

I purchased the Juicy Shaker lipgloss in the shade Boom Meringue, which is a bright shade of pink in the bottle. On the lips, it looks like no color and if I wiped it off it does have a pink tint to it.

The applicator is a large sponge and you can dab the product onto your lips. I found it quite moisturizing but it is from a oil like feeling rather than a cream. The tube of lipgloss comes separated with color and oil as you can see above. Then when you shake it, it becomes a milky consistency. On the lips, it is sheer and feels more like oil.

Application/texture: The application is quite easy - you dab this on your lips with the sponge. The feeling of it is like oil and is very moisturizing.
Scent: smells fruity
Lasting power: This lasts about 3 hours on me.
Pigmentation/finish: The finish is very sheer and shiny. This shade doesn't give much color on my lips.
Overall: I like the different application in this product. It is fun to have to shake your lipgloss and apply your lip product like a sponge! It gives enough moisturization but not much color. This works best for a very sheer hint of color and moisture. If you are looking for color perhaps try a darker color or a different product. For good moisturization, this little tube has got you covered.
