Givenchy Noir Couture 4-in-1 Mascara REVIEW and swatches

I was very intrigued by the Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara when I first heard about it on Sephora. I really like the sleek packaging and the unique brush. I was even more interested in the 4-in-1 feature: volume, length, curl and care. So I purchased the Black Satin shade first chance I get from Sephora.

Givenchy Noir Couture, 8g/0.28oz, $32
in Black Satin.
Available at www.sephora.com late July and in Sephora stores in August.

A closer look at the brush. Triple Sphere Wand.
Similar to the "sphere" wand on Givenchy's Phenomen'Eyes Mascara, Noir Couture has three of these for faster application, but still giving the option of reaching the corners of your eyes.

Rimmel ScandalEyes flex Mascara vs Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara review and swatches

Running to grab some cough drops at Walgreens a couple days ago, I saw a new Rimmel display! It is their Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara. It claims to have flexible, buildable volume. It reminds me a lot of the earlier released Maybelline Mega Plush volume mascara (see my review of that here: http://emtiny.blogspot.com/2012/05/maybellines-mega-plush-mascara-review.html)

So on to the reviews:
Scandaleyes lycra flex mascara, 0.41 fl oz/ 12mL, $6.99

I chose the one in Extreme Black 003. It also comes in black and one other shade.

Closer looks at the packaging. The mascara tube is huge! Same goes for the brush inside the tube. It feels like the size of the Covergirl Lash blast. I took a picture of the Rimmel Scandaleyes with Maybelline Plush for comparision below:

Maybelline's mega plush mascara review

I recently purchased the Maybelline's Mega Plush mascara in very black (part of their volum' express line) and I love it. It is the world's first gel-mousse mascara! The gel formula allows defined and volumized curls while allowing it to be super soft to the touch. I was able to touch my lashes with mascara on and could hardly notice I was wearing any.  It comes in this turquoise tube (much like the Falsies container, but different color). There are a few differences compared to the falsies and I will outline that below.

This is the cutest, softest, cleanest mascara I have used so far! Not only is it in one of my favorite colors, but it works like a charm on my short, straight, and thin lashes. It lengthen slightly my lashes, kept them curled, and defined each lash very well. It hardly clumped for me and I was able to reapply it after the first coat if I do it quickly. Though it didn't clump, I still noticed my lashes being fuller.
