Wet n Wild Fergie nail polish swatches, REVIEW, and comparison to Whimsical

I spotted the Wet n Wild Fergie nail polishes at Walgreens the other day and picked up three to try. The color range wasn't too special and I didn't think any stood out as 'must haves,' but I am sure glad I picked three very different polishes to try.
See below for swatches, comparisons, and review!

Wet n Wild Fergie nail polishes, 0.42 fl oz/12.5mL, $3.49

I found the display at the end of one of the aisles. You really have to go hunt for them. I did not see these at every Walgreens near me, but I think they will be popping up soon in most Walgreens.

The three nail polishes that I chose to purchase were:
Mermaid curves- a ocean blue jelly with different size glitters
Flossy flossy- a clear polish with mainly rose gold glitter and a mix of other tiny glitters
Grammy gold- a pigmented gold shimmer polish

I personally loved Mermaid curves. The color is so cute! The blue was just perfect in glitter and jelly. I also layered it with other nail polishes and it looks great. Each combination looks so unique!
I did the same for Flossy flossy. I have been looking for a rose gold glitter polish and I think I found it. Because it isn't soley big glitters, it makes it less sparse on your nail. Many looks can also be created!

Polish and Co 5 O'clock Shadow and Cash Only REVIEW and swatches

update Sept. 13th 2012: I have used these polishes a few more times and I have noticed more and more staining upon removal. I remove these with soap and also with my nail polish remover, but I find it a bit time consuming after a while. If you do not like staining or messy removals, I would skip these colors!

After recently seeing an introduction of the Polish & Co's nail polishes on Nouveau Cheap's blog, I decided to check it out. I am always in search of pretty nail polishes that are Big 3 free (no formaldehyde, DBP, and toluene). After browsing on Polish & Co's website, I decided on two colors- Cash only and 5 o'clock Shadow.

Mac Heavenly Creature - Star Wonder MSF & Cut a Caper REVIEW and Swatch

Finally got my hands on a couple of the Heavenly Creature collection items :)

MAC Heavenly Creature is a mineral collection that was released on their website June 25th 2012. It will be available in stores on July 5th 2012.

After continuous browsing and back and forth debate, I finally narrowed it down to two items. I think I will need to swatch the rest when they hit stores before I invest in those items.

The two items that I chose are the Mineralize Skinfinish in Star Wonder and the Lipstick in Cut a Caper.
Cut a Caper was repromoted from an earlier collection. The color in the tube does not look a thing like it does on your lips or swatched. See below and give it a try! Star Wonder is a new MAC item.

Cut a Caper: a coral pink lustre. It wears pretty smoothly and looks very nice as a summer color.
Star Wonder: A baked MSF that can be used as a blush, highlighter, or maybe even eyeshadow. It is a plumy pink color with hints of gold shimmer. It isn't glittery like other mineral makeup that MAC offers, which is why I like it so much. Wearing each of the three shades separately also gives your cheeks a different flush of color.

Rimmel ScandalEyes flex Mascara vs Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara review and swatches

Running to grab some cough drops at Walgreens a couple days ago, I saw a new Rimmel display! It is their Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara. It claims to have flexible, buildable volume. It reminds me a lot of the earlier released Maybelline Mega Plush volume mascara (see my review of that here: http://emtiny.blogspot.com/2012/05/maybellines-mega-plush-mascara-review.html)

So on to the reviews:
Scandaleyes lycra flex mascara, 0.41 fl oz/ 12mL, $6.99

I chose the one in Extreme Black 003. It also comes in black and one other shade.

Closer looks at the packaging. The mascara tube is huge! Same goes for the brush inside the tube. It feels like the size of the Covergirl Lash blast. I took a picture of the Rimmel Scandaleyes with Maybelline Plush for comparision below:

Zoya (pinterest) Surf Trio and Cosmetic Arts nail polish review and swatches

I am doing two reviews of nail polish today: Zoya Surf and Cosmetic Arts.

First off: Zoya!
Pinterest Trio mini (left to right): Zuzu, Kimber, and Myrta

I was lucky enough to sign up for their Surf (pinterest) collection mini trio set, which was free for the first 2000 people who "purchased" it. The trio was free and all you had to do was pay the $6.95 shipping. What a deal! I have used a few of Zoya's nail polish in the past and I was very excited to get these.

L'oreal Colour Riche Caresse Stick review

The L'oreal's Colour Riche Caresse Stick is a balm with different color tints.

The first thing I thought of when I saw these on Nouveaucheap's blog was that they look very similar to Revlon's lip butters. Needless to say, I had to go purchase a few of these as soon as I saw them in Target. I haven't seen them sold anywhere else and target.com does not have them for sale as of today. I purchased three shades out of the 10 or so released shades a week ago. Revlon lip butters definitely has more color in their collection. Caresse sticks retail for about $7.99, 2.9g.
